Petersburg City & Schools Partnership - CreateAthon 2018

Team: Malcolm Richardson, Michael Bradican, Bayley Oliver

The WHY: The Petersburg City and Schools Partnership needs a brand identity to successfully spread its message to its external stakeholders.

The HOW: Increase brand awareness so that everyone involved understands the capacity of the Partnership to support student success. Create mechanisms that allow stakeholders to show that they are affiliated with the coalition.

Prior to CreateAthon...

PSCP had no real visual identity.

In 24 hours...

4 students and 4 mentors collaborated to create a new visual and verbal identity that allows for community members to easily identify the impact of the organization.

Why so colorful? The new logo identifies the 5 focus areas of PSCP: nutrition, after-school activities, school culture, housing, and health.

New identity package.

For print materials: official letterhead, envelopes, and business cards.

Created useful deliverables that will aid brand awareness while also solving daily problems for community stakeholders.

  • Drawstring backpack can be useful for youth that are attending community programing while also identifying them as active participants of PSCP.
  • Enamel pins for prominent community stakeholders to wear so they can quickly indicate their support for the partnership.
  • Branded pens that can be used by all sorts of people in Petersburg - maybe even the person that gives PSCP a big grant!
  • Stickers for youth and community to feel further connected to Petersburg Partnership. An inexpensive way to create brand awareness.
